As a choreographer, Maddie focuses on using movement as a tool to offer performers the ability to experience the duality of discovering freedom while also feeling grounded in each unique present moment. With a versatile range of choreographic styles in play, Maddie prioritizes intentional phrasing that can both support a dancers’ growth while offering an audience the chance to be moved; to relate, to escape, to learn, to be inspired, to reflect, to change. Maddie’s approach to choreography is strongly motivated by organic exchanges of energy and creative collaboration, and is rooted in a passion for empathy and interpersonal connection.
She has been recognized regionally and nationally for her choreographic achievements, and has created and presented work for Timberlake Playhouse, Pace School of Performing Arts, HIVHERO’s Broadway & Ballet, full length musicals and curated dance concerts for Young Artists of America, music videos for performing artists, and pieces for award-winning competitive dance companies.
